TOPS Discussion Groups

TOPS has several e-mail based discussion groups for discussing topics of interest to the TOPS community. All of these groups are hosted by Yahoo! Groups. To subscribe, you must first sign up for a Yahoo! ID if you don't already have one. Subscriptions to these groups are open only to members of the TOPS community.

Details About How it Works

All of these groups are moderated Yahoo! Groups that can be joined by any TOPS parent or staff member. In order to actually use these examples, replace *GroupName* with the name of whichever group you want to deal with (e.g. TOPSMiddleSchool or TOPS_CSJ).

To subscribe
Send a blank email message to *GroupName*-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. (You must be a TOPS parent or staff member to subscribe. Your subscription request will be sent to the moderators, and if you qualify, you will be notified when your subscription is activated.)
To read the archived announcements
Click the link above or go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/*GroupName*. (You must already be subscribed to the group to read the announcements. If you don't already have a Yahoo userID and password, you will be prompted to create one.)
To search the archived announcements
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/*GroupName*, and scroll down to the search box near the bottom of the page.
To post an announcement
Send your announcement to *GroupName*@yahoogroups.com. The announcement will be sent to the moderators, who will pass it along to the list right away if it is appropriate. (Please use this list only for important announcements of interest to the middle school community)
To change your subscription options
Click the link above or go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/*GroupName*/join and follow the instructions. You can choose to receive all individual e-mails immediately, to receive each day's messages collected in a "daily digest," to receive only "special announcements," or to receive no e-mail. (We recommend that all middle school parents receive all messages. The moderators will try to ensure that this list is used only for important announcements.)
To unsubscribe
Send a blank e-mail message to *GroupName*-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. (We recommend that all middle school parents remain subscribed to this mailing list. The moderators will try to ensure that the list is used only for important announcements)
