The right school in the right location. The Seward building, with easy access off I-5, is perfectly situated to house a school that draws students from all over Seattle.
TOPS did not happen overnight.
Starting at Stevens School in 1977, the success of TOPS prompted it to seek a larger location. The school district offered Seward to TOPS as a fixer upper, and renovations were completed in 1999.
After years of hard work, and substantial financial investment by the district and the TOPS community, it was finally a perfect fit for our K-8 alternative program.
