Parent Enrichment Alternative Kindergarten
A successful kindergarten experience can be the key to a positive attitude toward school. Since the Seattle school district provides funding only for one full-day and one half-day kindergarten class, TOPS has developed an innovative tuition-based kindergarten enrichment program that provides an extra teacher and full-day kindergarten class for all TOPS families (100 percent of current kindergarten families participate). Thus the kindergartners have the benefits of a team of three certified teachers planning curriculum, and fundraising through the Site Council and the Friends of TOPS Foundation.
